So, the first week back has flown by already, and I have to say I have been very impressed by how quickly P7 have settled in to their work this week – well done everyone! We have begun our new reading novels for the term (Journey to the River Sea by Eva Ibbotson, and James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl), and reading homework for these will begin next week. In maths we have begun looking at multiplication and division – NZ style, and we will also be looking at Time in our topic maths sessions starting next week. Our main topic for the next 6 weeks is The Lie of the Land, and there is a small homework task for this to be done by Wednesday. To start things off, P7 have created a mural showing the view from MOL, which is now above the P7 cloakroom for all to admire, and there’s a photo of their work below. This task really tested the pupils’ communication and team working skills, as each group had to liase with the groups doing the section on either side to make sure everything matched up. Have a great weekend!
