Another busy week has flown by, and we’re now almost half way through this term already! This week in maths, P7 have continued to work on new strategies for solving addition and subtraction problems, while there were some great improvements in the basic facts quizes thanks to pupils putting in some really hard work!
We had a class debate on smoking on Wednesday, and there were some very diverse opinions on this subject, but everyone argued their case well and justified their opinions.
P7 have also begun preparations for the Christmas Fayre (which is on November 30th), by writing to local business asking for donations to the raffle, and by emailing potential stall holders inviting them to participate in the event. It’s been great to see the pupils taking on this responsibility, and improving their formal writing skills too.
Finally, well done to all the pupils who came in today in pyjamas, onesies and dressing gowns, and in the process raised a huge amount for Children in Need – we look forward to hearing the school’s total soon!
